I've heard protocol eng and degen opinions on this, but curious to ask folks working on "competitive" tech what's your thoughts on non-EVM L2s a la starknet and fuel?

only customers such as devs using the protocol and consumers - users of the protocol itself will decide which L2 they believe in which higly rely on DevEx - onboarding, docs, clean code etc as well as applications build on top of it and usecases of the L2 itself

I agree with this take generally, but as a dev in the space and an educator it's partly in my hands to direct new devs/students towards certain ecosystems and mentor them. there's middlemen between the end user/dev and the protocol - and their decision making criteria is typically more informed

I'm on the same-ish boat as you are, I'd suggest you few things: - DYOR and decide which L2 you are bullish on the most and why - Share your ideas/ overview with your students with reasoning why + differences - You have the authority and responsibility to share what's right - use it mindfully!

100% the original post was part of the "DYOR" haha - I have my opinions on non-EVM chains and been looking into them for quite some time now, but always curious to learn more eventually all this ends up either on my weekly discussion sessions and/or as lessons on learnweb3
