Curious if Farcaster could ever support private profiles viewable to accepted followers only (like X, IG, etc.), either for Warpcast or other clients, or if the nature of decentralized social and content being available in hubs and accessible by anyone means that's not technically possible (in near term/current architecture)

It can, and we will! If youβd use something like this. Weβll add it to Wildcard :)

awesome! not something i think id use today but was curious for the future as the network gets better! technically, how would it work? if i posted on wildcard and posted with a private profile, how would another client like warpcast not be able to surface that content?

To make it work across clients, on top of my mind is.. encrypted content. Same way a decentralised chat procols work. We'll need a FIP.

Yep makes a lot of sense! I think if network 10x thereβd be a great case for private content. In the meantime I think token gated group chats/ messaging can solve.

We already support token gated messaging. (Farcards, hypersub, Moxie, Based games) But again this also fragments across clients.
