Users without the power badge, don’t like priority mode and want more visibility to users with priority mode turned on.

Making power badge more permissive, increases spam. Makes everyone unhappy (except the spammers)

Power badge has flaws, but haven't seen a concrete proposal for a deterministic alternative to the power badge.

Most suggestions for improvement are: "sounds like a hard problem, but whatever system you put in place should give me the power badge." :)

I may not have a solution to offer, but I have always kept my badge so far because I enjoy discovering everything that is being built and I am always interested in new projects. I believe that not getting stuck in one's own circle, but rather opening up to others, is a good foundation for keeping one's power badge
