I struggle with his "2. reactive" One of my deeply-held beliefs for consumer products is that you should brand around a positive, rather than a negative. I.e. here's why FC is fun/cool/valuable vs. use FC because of all that can go wrong elsewhere.

A platform that exists solely as a reaction to being deplatformed will end up being a gravity well for only those who are deplatformed. That does not go well.

I don’t think that’s what he’s saying - the hook is not being deplatformed, it’s experimenting with something new The reactive trigger serves as the activation energy to migrate more than just temporarily America is a canonical example of this dynamic in play The positive way of framing reactive is “opt-out”
