I wonder if small networks are really the answer. Are any of the big dogs truly โglobalโ ? They have an audience around the world but are only the โtown squareโ in a handful of countries from my observation.

I think we're already past peak global, ie. the biggest you get now is the various blocs (Western, Chinese, etc.) But relationships get distorted beyond a certain size, and I'm wondering if there's a way to have "global" access while still retaining localism Eg. good niche subreddits
