I’ve seen this behavior most pronounced in places where border control would take forever. Losing your spot in the deplaning queue could mean another 10 minutes standing at immigration shortly after. I saw people stand up and grab their bags while the aircraft was still taxiing to the gate — and in typical Moloch fashion, if you don’t join them, you’ll lose even harder
