Supply chains are scary

TEEs are custom hardware. The most common one is Intel SGX, which has had multiple vulnerabilities (see the website)

Adding bespoke hardware to node operator requirements makes a chain more vulnerable, which is a scary trade-off for speed and MEV resistance

I’d also add SGX provisioning key has potentially been compromised meaning if you can extract the root key that signs everything you can pretend to be someone else
