A major advantage that FC has over Bsky is its warm and welcoming culture to new accounts

It’s not clear how to grow a following on Bsky unless you port over your X base or lean into the zeitgeist (left-leaning snark/outrage)

Their growth will require large scale tactics like going after sports viewers, while FC can be organic

Hmm I think that’s just due to the size and homogeneity of the FC userbase. 

So far it’s been mostly apolitical or just pro-crypto

I love the farcaster crowd. Stand out different to most social platforms

the warm and welcoming culture here needs to scale better

Theres a very motivating group of people on Farcaster and what I love is that most are Base builders🤝

It’s not about the mechanical welcome — it’s can a network “mint new stars” ie. Generate new content creators 

Bsky is better at vampiring existing content creators, but I’m not really seeing any way to grow distribution outside of political outrage 

If you can show me legit net new avenues open for poasters, then this would be cope

this feels a bit like cope. most people that join farcaster don't get a welcome and bluesky has multiple orders of magnitude more DAUs even though it's younger than fc

i suppose channels help people find eachother a more easily but feels like it's mostly farmers
