Another fact: the stakes are high for whoever manages to get the social layer. HOWEVER!!!! stakes are not that high for whoever gets a crypto native audience - we are not competing for it. 
Bluesky is onboarding an average of 900k users per month. Farcaster and Lens are so small. This "feud" is imaginary.

It depends on how you define “venture scale”

If you mean the sector itself returns a decent multiple with average diligence, no chance

But for funds that can evaluate consumer well and have good deal flow, I think it already is

Average crypto funds otoh are stuck in the blockspace token meta

Still unclear to me why they need to focus on crypto at all. Good social products are good social products, full stop.

personal take (as former VC-funded startup founder): people WAY over-index on the signal of VC funding.

asymmetric outcomes often surprise the investors as much/more than the founders.

biggest utility of VC funding: surviving long enough in market for your timing to be ~right
