Has their client being open source actually lead to more decentralization? What is name of the second most used AT protocol client?

I don’t think it really matters what the result has been 

The point was: it’s ideologically more compelling. Especially for a demographic that likes open source software and dislikes crypto. Open sourcing the client is part virtue signaling
