This thread by their Dan about the protocol was useful: https://bsky.app/profile/danabra.mov/post/3l7yvxbuhx42f bsky feels ideologically stronger than FC because their main client is open source That said, apps having to aggregate data is bad devx & the relay is a single point of failure

according to their docs the relay is just an optimization for ux. i'm more bluesky curious after reading. i used to think a blockchain was necessary for the identity layer but less sure now.
