Buckwheat pillows are not as memetic as toe spacers and tongue scrapers, but they should be. Mine weighs like 5 pounds and takes up half my luggage, but it absolutely worth hauling all the way to Thailand to avoid sleeping on the horrendously thick hotel pillows.

Hmmm, it’s buckwheat in a zippered pillow case, that you put into another pillow case, so I’m not sure how much it matters, but this is the one I got per my order history https://a.co/d/8CHnr0Z

Tbh I’m still confused about how it took me so long to learn to sleep on it. The key was to embrace the crater you can dig with your head let it conform to your head and neck. Also if you remove some of the hulls, don’t throw them out until you’re sure you don’t need them.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah I read the Amazon reviews and people were saying to take 3-4 cups out of the pillow before use and store them in a ziploc bag I’m just excited to have a pillow I can hopefully use for 5-10 years without it changing shape too much

Generally good advice for all pillows. Take out stuffing to fit your needs (buy zippered if you can, otherwise need to restitch), save excess. I made a spare small shredded latex pillow from excess of another pillow. (Shredded latex is another material that doesn't change shape over time.) My perfect travel pillow is actually a hybrid: a small buckwheat with the small shredded latex stacked in one pillowcase. 🤪

Oh so much. If you sleep with someone, definitely separate blankets/sheets. Separate beds is pro tier. Lots of hygiene stuff (no screens before bed, minimize light, some evidence of 650nm red light helping before bed), definitely keep an eye on CO2, lower room temp than daytime, etc.
