One of my more non-consensus bets right now is $RIVN

With ~half the country hating Elon (and generally speaking, the rich half), they might want to boycott his products

The only sexy EV manufacturer besides Tesla is Rivian. So despite the headwinds of a Trump admin towards EVs, there's a market here

i worked at a car part manufacturing plant for a year. rivian have the absolute worst quality and tesla have the highest standards for manufacturers

also dont think anyone boycotting Tesla could ever afford one

I think most EV buyers are relatively wealthy in general. The price point will also come down a lot with R2 / R3

this was 2022 and only for parts not for major components like engine etc

any problem is solvable. but not sure if VW could do better, they're also famous for being faulty innit? seems like a general new car issue 

true but i think wealthy people also buy for status symbols, probably a boycott would have a decent effect
