Seems like a few bots went rogue this morning. We will fix temporarily to stop annoying folks and then think through a longer fix. We will have more episodes like this as we get closer to and after permissionless sign ups. Also please don’t hate on @yup. They weren’t involved!

So at some point on lens API, they implemented such spam filter for bots but then users cried that they don't receive likes anymore and most of the filters are now gone. To be honest there's an interview on "the defiant" on YouTube with a guy employed by lens that says in the interview that around 50/100 are bots.

That also, but besides that I really think that some people do prefer to see engagement even if is fake, after all such cries happened on web2 also. At the end of the day in a reality where a bot engagement would be indistinguishable for a human engagement, both will have from an information standpoint the same value.
