A lot of people are suddenly asking me about power badge... Not sure if this helps anyone, but: One thing you need to realise, is that it's really not some caste/secretive/rich ppl only thing. I got my power badge when I had just over 100 followers. How? Just being arfy. No need for spams, contests, cannons, etc..

I totally agree with you!! I too had about 400 followers and not much interaction with PB. However, although I am Japanese, I did not belong to the Japanese community and interacted with non-Japanese people. When the badge was granted to me, my friends around me were also granted. We may have been lucky.

Congrats on that! I know it's extra hard for some reason, for non-English speakers to gain PB. It might have to do with how the earlier users were mostly English, & they got about half of the PBs. I had a good discussion with other JP users about the challenge: be sure to support other Japanese farcasters frenpai!

I also give advice to the Japanese, but it is influenced by previous Korean simultaneous bans, etc. Japanese were doing similar things such as throwing TIPs at each other. I didn't like that kind of thing, so I continued to cast English with only a few Japanese. That is why I have many non-Japanese friends.

But I have the impression that it is difficult to get PBs because of changes in algorithms and so on.

You've done the right thing: don't follow back & tip back. Those can be penalized. Doing it sometimes is okay, but when you have 4000 followers that are all follow backs, tipping each other, it's quite obviously a sham. The algo is harder now, but for us all: users with PB also need to keep it! Everyone is the same.
