With the upcoming trove of autonomous cars, part of me wonders if a lot of cars will reduce in size 

While “family cars” remain current size people commuting don’t need all that space

As someone without a car in the US 

I can’t wait for Waymo / Robotaxi 

I imagine cheaper than uber, and no atrocious small talk

there's been a huge uptick in electric bikes here in /paris the past few years, including cargo ones to lug around families

at the same time, what's been hilarious is i've also suddenly noticed pickup trucks too (not nearly as frequent but still "new" to this environment")
