This may be an extreme take but I think there is some truth to this. There are a lot of things we learned in school that are absolutely useless but so so many things I wish we'd learned. Wish we'd learned them at home too. (To be clear, I'm thankful for many modern advances )

Agreed! I’m a city girl. My parents are immigrants. I don’t think they were taught any skills and they didn’t teach me any skills. I learned everything from the internet and YouTube. Most of my peers and friends don’t know anything, not even cooking. 😬

Right?! I can't believe how little my friends know how to do or even know you CAN do. My grandparents were immigrants and a few things were passed on but not much. My parents were both raised in Chicago so very little need or space to learn a lot of these things. Again, very thankful for the internet because it's where I've learned so many things but I love the idea of passing things on within our family and community instead of through the internet

Yeah exactly, what we humans have been eradicating with modernity - community. There’s such a wealth of knowledge that is not getting passed on… we can learn so much from the internet but most content creators are young and also learning, there’s still a lot of info missing.
