Gardening by far is the most expensive hobby I ever taken up. That being said I’m having the most fun being outside despite this summers heat. It’s truly incredible to see the resilience of the different plants growing in 100+ Fahrenheit temps. Passion fruit is recovering and was in our “plant ICU” for a few days. But it’s bouncing back.

There’s a gardening meme that goes something like: spent $500 on dirt, seeds, and water for 2 tomatoes. At face value it’s expensive, but there’s so much unseen value to gardening in addition to more nutritious and flavorful food. Connecting with nature and learning self-sufficiency is priceless. 377 $DEGEN

Oh that’s so relatable! 😅 But you are absolutely right. The fruits and veggies are way more flavorful. And there’s a wonderful feeling when I need something, I could just go to the back and snip from the garden. It’s only our first year getting into this but we want to make it long term and have a mini food forest out of our home. Goal is to cut down as many trips as possible to the grocery market.
