Sharing an idea I had a while ago since we're seriously talking about $nouns: You can decompose a noun into a fungible token (w/ gov rights) and an NFT (similar image, no gov rights). A combined noun can potentially have some extra benefit/rights. Good idea or more complexity than it's worth?

Are you imagining a different fungible token for each Noun you decompose?

Same fungible token. Say you get 1M $nouns and 1 decomposed noun NFT, which you can always combine to convert back to a regular noun.

And how is the same-image NFT minted? E.g. is a single copy minted when you convert a Noun into fungibles? Can any holder of fungibles mint any image?

The former. Deposit a noun into a contract to mint the same-image NFT + batch of $nouns. Burn the same-image NFT + same amount of $nouns to redeem that original noun from the contract. You end up creating separate markets for the art and the gov power.

I always felt it was an intentionally strong foundational abstraction at that layer . ie an erc20 dao that creates/sells nfts feels pretty well-trod. Fusing the two together is a bit more unwieldy but also maybe more adventurous in some ways
