"write better code" vs prompt engineering with Claude 3.5 Sonnet Both work but take you on different journeys. Maybe there is some kind of natural ceiling for optimization that LLMs can achieve, regardless of prompting strategy. https://minimaxir.com/2025/01/write-better-code/

I heard on a podcast that one of the tells of ChatGPT is the use of 'Certainly!' and with Claude the tell is "Ah". Adding to the Claude list: 'It's not about X, it's about Y' 'It's more than X, it's about Y' and other variations of this. Highly recommend adding instructions to your prompts to avoid it if you do a lot of content writing with AI.

Yesterday, my grandma’s time left on earth was estimated between hours and days. My grandpa would tell her “you’re so gorgeous, I love you, are you comfortable? You’re so beautiful, my darling.” There was a lot of life lived behind those words. Those moments swept over me out of nowhere tonight as I rocked my youngest daughter to sleep. After she went to asleep, I went to grab my phone to ask my mom for an update. She had passed.

Makes total sense. It’s interesting that what we are finding makes AI effective/ineffective mirrors most of life. Basic example: a restaurant with a big menu serving a little bit of everything is terrible to a foodie, good to an average person, great to those who don’t know any better.
