Yesterday, my grandma’s time left on earth was estimated between hours and days. My grandpa would tell her “you’re so gorgeous, I love you, are you comfortable? You’re so beautiful, my darling.”

There was a lot of life lived behind those words. Those moments swept over me out of nowhere tonight as I rocked my youngest daughter to sleep. After she went to asleep, I went to grab my phone to ask my mom for an update. 

She had passed.
