Near my house there is little a pine forest, it's a public park with playgrounds for children, picnic areas, barbeque areas, a football field, a municipal swimming pool, it's huge, it has hundreds of pine trees and lots of squirrels.
From time to time they cut down or prune trees, some specimens when they are in danger and could fall, or have been broken by a blizzard, too many times for my taste.
When this happens they surround the area with a seal and leave all the cut trunks piled up.
That is when I, furtively, take my shopping cart, I go into the park at dusk, Ijump the seal and load my cart with firewood to the brim.
At home I cut it up with a mini electric saw and I put it away.
This is how I stock up for when we can have a barbecue in the summer without using charcoal. 5 replies
