Has it ever happened to you that while going so fast, you have fallen forward and landed with your face on the ground?
Looking at the photo you can already imagine what it is about, I will give you some information.
📍 Turkey, day 1 in Cappadocia of the 15-day trip.
We have several activities planned, but if there is something that never fails, it is treking, treking and treking until you want to tear your feet off.
Cappadocia is a large area of mountains and very arid sandy lands, which with erosion have created small valleys, mounds and very peculiar geological formations.
After hours of trekking up and down, with the sun beating down on us, already so tired that my legs were begging for mercy... we are going along the top of a small plateau, we have to go down to go towards the population area where the hotels are.
We see a shortcut that involves going down a somewhat steep slope, due to the sandy terrain, somewhat slippery, ther is a rope to help you go up or down.

My girl goes down first and like a deer she does it lightly and without problems.
My turn comes, and given the opportunity, I ask her for a photo halfway down.
You can't see the slope in the photo, but there was a lot of it.
When I get to the end of the rope, I see that it's broken, and if I let go I notice that I either slip and kiss the ground or I speed up.
On the third one I let go, I don't slip, but I can't stop, I go faster and faster, so much so that when I pass my girl, her voice is already frightening.
I see a huge bush, I try to go to the right to avoid it, I look like Usain Bolt, but I step on a small stone that makes my foot roll, I trip myself and I crash sideways into the ground, crashing into the bush of dry branches.
The blow is so hard that I stay stiff for a while, I don't even move, my wife comes at full speed scared, calling me.

I who felt fine decide that it's a good time to give her a scare, I start to move imitating convulsions, she screams at me to revive me scared and seeing that she really believes it I get up.
When I move I notice liquid flowing from my nose and eyes, it was a jet of blood.
I get up, I see the scared face of my wife, who trembles like a flan, it makes me think that I have a brutal cut all over my face.
She's unable to tell me what she sees, a local appears who doesn't know English and gives us a bottle of water to clean the dirt and blood, very nice person.
The stinging was hellish, but to the touch it didn't feel bad, I was calm and I tried to relax my girl, mission impossible.
We had kilometers of walking ahead of us to the hotel. I put on my cap to avoid the sun, the people we passed looked at me with a hallucinating face.
At the hotel they were scared to see me. I went to the shower, I saw the stars only with the water, but with the soap I saw the flames of hell, how it stings! But I rubbed.

When I got out, I put gauze to stop the bleeding and rested.
At night my face was less scary.
I had a small hole in my forehead from the impact of a branch, from there came out scandalous blood, but once healed it was not so much.
The scratches crossed from the forehead to the cheek by the edges, and I looked more injured than I really was.
I will not put a photo of my pitiful appearance, but I spent 3 days with everyone looking at me.
The photos I sent to my mother either from a distance or from the side so as not to scare her.
The last scab on my face went away on the penultimate day of the trip.
It all ended up as an anecdote that we laugh about when I tell it in detail, but my wild maneuver of scaring my girlfriend is the one that generates the most reproaches from me,
Sometimes I feel bad about the joke, but it is what gives the moment the extra kick, she got scared, poor thing, but I took the hit.
