Live the same

Even though my Spanish was pretty bad, I still understood that they were joking around with me. I was the only one who wasn’t a surfer, didn’t speak Spanish, and was riding a scooter. But overall, the vibe was friendly.

Even though I was lagging behind everyone, no one really cared because the whole group kept stopping to eat at almost every roadside café. I have no idea how they could eat so much. Even in local cafés, the portions were so huge that they would’ve lasted me a couple of days, but they finished everything.

The main issue for me was that my butt wasn’t ready for such long rides, and my hands got tired from the vibration. But overall, no serious problems on the road—someone got a flat tire, we got caught in the rain, but that was about it. We arrived after dark and immediately ended up at some party, where, surprisingly, I ran into some photographer friends of mine

The party was pretty loud, lots of booze, but no food at all. Then I noticed a few guys crowding around the stove, cooking something… Nice, I thought, and went over to check it out. But I didn’t like what they were making—they were drying white powder in a pan because it got damp. Oh well… 😅 

That kind of thing didn’t surprise me anymore, but I wasn’t a fan either. In the end, I left with some photographer friends to find something to eat. Sosua is a small town, but since there were lots of tourists, some cafés stayed open all night. After grabbing food, we headed to a surf spot.

Surprisingly, everyone was still full of energy, even though hardly anyone had slept—probably the ocean’s effect. By sunrise, we were already there, and that’s where I took those beach photos I posted recently. 🌊📸

A lot of alcohol, little food and white powder... those would wake up with a broken body, good hangover.

Of course the mission to find something to eat ended amazingly because the photo of the sunset looks spectacular, what a piece of sky.

The most interesting thing is that all of them, or most of them, were surfing in the morning!)
