Follow up to previous tweet: afaik the only profitable businesses in crypto are - exchanges - some NFT marketplaces although it looks increasingly like their take rate is going to 0% - metamask/consensys - (maybe) some node infra providers anything else?

Best resources for ENS are https://dune.com/makoto/dot-eth-revenue and https://lookerstudio.google.com/u/0/reporting/8785928a-71d5-4b17-9fea-fe1c937b064f All revenue from registrations/renewals goes to the DAO which funds ENS DAO Working Groups and ENS Labs. Never VC funded, spun out of EF with grant from Vitalik

aave/ compound revenue numbers are public cos they're on-chain https://tokenterminal.com/terminal/projects/aave/financial-statement and https://tokenterminal.com/terminal/projects/compound/financial-statement (although they do seem unprofitable when accounted for token incentives)
