Reason #32 that I might have ADHD:

I’m doing my laundry and am left with 8 unique socks that don’t have a pair in sight.

This sounds like an excellent idea. 

The reality is that when I run out of socks, I’ll pair the ones that match, attribute-wise, and then eventually give up on matching…
