after almost one week of supabase's database being down (and thus castalytics, og, etc), it is now recovered but the team still doesn't know what happened.

apologies for the time these apps have been down and looking forward to start rebuilding again.

yes. I don’t think that’s normal though as I have other db’s there where everything is just fine. maybe this one got corrupted and took them longer to escalate and get to a resolution.

Your DB was down a week? That’s terrible. We’re using Supabase for a Pinata project and have generally loved it but that’s cause for concern.

Just started using supabase myself and love it. Guess it will be a while for them to battle harden and scale their systems. 

I don’t have any users though so not an issue for me 😅

discove is using supabase and the pro tier (paid) dev instance I'm using just randomly goes down tbh it feels very unproduction ready

It’s a great product but I think still lacks some security fundamentals (eg ddos protection from auth endpoints). 

They build new features quickly but as an end-to-end product, probably not production ready for scale quite yet..
