In an ideal world of physical fitness a person has 3 hobbies: one skill based sport, one endurance based sport, and strength/resistance training
The combo of these 3 is the ultimate longevity plan
Longevity isn’t about health optimization. It’s about doing things that make you happy
When you stack happiness & competitive pursuit with activities that encourage physical fitness, it’s impossible to lose
For me it’s Golf, Cycling, and lifting
Golf gives me the game to play, enjoy, and improve upon within nature and a social circle
Cycling gives me the endurance exercise, meditative quality’s, and also nature aspect
And resistance training gives me strength, aesthetics, and willpower
If you can create a life where you’ve got these 3 areas covered, you’re going to forget about longevity anyway cause you’ll be happy (and healthy) af 1 reply
