I have a strange question guys… The thing I hate most about working out is being drenched in sweat. I love the feeling of muscle soreness, but not being wet at the degree of a shower haha. Is there a direct correlation between a good workout and how much you sweat? Can it be effective to build muscles by working out at a slower pace without ending up totally soaked?

every kind of activity produces heat, that heat has to be dissipated by your body. if the ambient is too hot, you will sweat more than usual. what's the room temp you are working out? try to lower that if you can. I'm a runner, and this is why I like to run outdoor from fall to spring. almost a quarter of the sweat (at lower intensity) I produce during summer. I measured it and I sweat almost 2 litres per hour when is hot outside.

wooow thank you for the information!! Now it makes a total sense to me. can I ask — how did you measure the amount of sweat?

Weight yourself before and after workout. Calculate the difference and add any liquid intake.
