They are both runners. But they do different sports. Would be interesting to see them racing the mile one against the other.

One mile is'nt fair to skinny guy. 3-5 miles would be more interesting

I would bet the “skinny guy” would wind the mile but also an 800mt against the other one.

Know few guys, who are good at long distances/marathons and have pretty decent muscle mass(specialization in bodybuilding) . Mostly It depends on your base in sport and your muscle's ability to utilize carbon dioxide and decomposition product. But it's just personal expirience and not a reason to argue

here we are talking about top players in their discipline. I suspect "good at long distances" is not enough. can they run a marathon in under 2:30?

You are right, details are important here. I am not an expert in this particular sport and dont know exact time. Approached this question more from the side of biology just to notice it's not that clear. At least in my head. Thanks for your responces
