I like desktop apps for stuff that I keep persistently open and browser for stuff I open to use and close when I’m done. I’m the same as you for desktop apps + Asana + Warpcast

why do you prefer desktop apps, in general, and for which apps specially?

imo calendar, notes, tasks, spotify, messages/telegram are nice but not sure anything else 

pref email and zoom/meet (esp with Arc) in browser

I like it having it open in the background rather than a tab (that gets closed / lost easily). Easier to switch to as well. Maybe there’s a way  to accomplish this with a chrome app that I’m missing tho

We have made some improvements to the Chrome Apps installed version. Its the 3rd icon from the left on Chrome. You will have shift-tab swap and it will be on your dock with notifications indicators.
