"Bringing people onchain" is the exact wrong way to approach problem-solving. It's more cult-like than anything else.

I don't think it's a way to approach problem solving. It's merely stating a goal, an objective, not laying out a path or method for this objective. If you work or believe in Blockchain technology, increasing the amount of people using blockchain should be an end goal, don't you think? Otherwise, why are you even building in that space?

I don't think I proved your point. It seems to me you're confusing objectives and means. If you're in blockchain already, then you believe in the why. Your next step is to think about the how (to onboard more ppl). But the base goal remain: bring more ppl onchain. Then you can think about how to convey your reasons to your audience. But once again, stating that you want to bring more people onchain remains valid imo.

You're assuming ppl are saying "bring ppl onchain" without a compelling why. I don't think that's the case. We all know the benefits of blockchains (transparency, decentralization, value redistribution)

I think you just proved my point. Ideology is selfish. Problem-solving is selfless. Believing in the technology is totally reasonable and necessary. But the idea of "bringing people onchain" is as silly as "bringing people onto the cloud". You still have to provide a compelling why.
