PRIVACY WINS... kind of. The 3 charges against Roman remain despite TC being lifted from US treasury’s sanctions list. If he loses, we lose everything we’ve fought to build the so-called future of finance: 1) Sanctions Evasion Roman is charged under the North Korea sanctions program, which is separate from TC sanctions, which could continue to make devs face criminal liability 2) Operating unlicensed MSB Every dapp that enables financial tx would have to register as an MSB and employ KYC, report suspicious txs etc. A slippery slope for the gov to control what DeFi is. 3) Committing money laundering Devs can still be charged for third party misuse of open and permissionless protocols while banks pay fines and get a slap on the wrist. TLDR our regulatory woes for DeFi, financial privacy, and open-source development are not over until the DOJ drops the charges against Roman Storm.

Reading “The Art of Unix Programming” and “How Linux Works” cover to cover is the easiest way to gain a super power. Whenever someone asks me where do I start, I tell them those 2 books!

We started running government as a business and so science turned into as a cost centre rather than a driver of innovation. When Government planning is focused on winning the next election, long term vision goes out the door 💩

Also, Norway thinking of dipping into its $1.5T future fund to backstop Ukraine and rebuild European security as the US no longer wants to be World Police… once they do, don’t be alarmed when Norway floods the markets with oil to get Europe off Russia’s teat, which will consequentially tank the petrodollar

Elon, Trump, and Vance want to close down US bases around the world. Good luck refueling and restocking when nobody will let you dock just like what Norway did this week. What’s the point of a Navy when you have you no longer have global reach. Second order effects are a bitch.

I’m curious what’s the highest integer it’s been about to find the prime factors for using Shor’s Algorithm, but can’t find any info! Because the current record for a quantum computer is a whopping 143 😂

Check out Keyball39 :) I’m loving my wireless on (although I had to disable mouse for now while I debug connectivity issues)

Just use FUSE and you can do everything with S3 :) I’ve been using S3 like this for years, along with rsyncing backups. Totally worth it (you just need to install a kernel extension for Mac OS but works straight under Linux)

But at unobtainium prices :( Ampere still looks interesting at > 128 cores on the cheap! Speed and cache is laughable compared to AMD, but on pure core count, it’s still the cheapest option
