i've stuck with obsidian bc all notes are in markdown format

I've tried to get into obsidian a few times but never got past the friction of picking a system and getting set up. markdown is probably the better option long term, if this works for me I might try to migrate later

you should do whatever is best for you :)

pkm systems are definitely not one size fits all

though i do like @kepano's personal rules and organization tactics (or lack thereof)

tldr - just make notes and avoid organizing; you can always search for them later
