i never used python much but have had to use it for a project i'm working on and i gotta say, i probably won't write my servers in node anymore. it's just so much nicer working with a synchronous, object-oriented language for serverside code. i love me some typescript, don't get me wrong but there's a time and a place.

having spent 5+ years writing python professionally I feel the exact opposite 😬 ecosystem just doesn’t compare to JS and adoption of the type system is poor

I feel you on that. I’m def a JS maxi and the frontend is all written in TS (react/nextjs). Just nice to not have to worry about asynchronous stuff for a bit 😅
