new zora model is different from what we have seen so far and it causes disappointment but imo it's the purest thing we had so far: a picture has a marketcap people will be mad that they can't profit off of someone's brand the way they could in the world where everyone is supposed to have max 1 token and they are supposed to promote it all the time (btw it will be the same list of people who made money on $ANON while producing no work) but the vibe will change once something organically goes to $1m and then to $10m and suddenly it will create a new tradable meta and people will be able to trade it again

it's interesting but how is 1155 not a more natural home for an identifiable but networked (owned by many) artifact? just because protocol application integrations for the casino are better for erc20s - slap an imageURI on the contract and deploy a new one for each post?

conceptually nfts make more sense, but the reality is that everything these days depends on a liquidity pools, specifically uniswap liquidity pools — and they depend on erc20

we worked on similar ideas for a long time with the thesis that bringing together these 2 groups of people would lead to better outcomes for both liquidity -> more opportunities creators to earn from their work more and better content -> “come for the casino, stay for the art” it’s still early and it’s possible that this happens eventually, but I’m not as confident that it will at this point

confident it will not. secondary liquidity does not mean more opportunities for creators. in fact all it does is attract idiots that become mad as soon as said liquidity dries up. we'd do well to take some inspiration from beloved web2. twitch donations are a much purer form of creator support no expectation of making money on supporting your favorite creators. and 0% protocol/app fee.
