the success of farcaster depends on many clients being good 

not any one client being great

the warpcast team has shown us how to build a great client 

but it isn't enough 

sufficient decentralization is about access to the network, yes, but it's also about choices 

where to broadcast?

where to associate?

et al.

The proliferation of multiple Farcaster clients is one of our motivations for /concept-testing

Instead of founders trying to compete against Warpcast on their own, we can collaborate on open-source projects to help new clients flourish

Interested in social infrastructure | slowly building /firstdraft, curating /concretejungle | markfishman.xyz

I’d like to see people experiment with extensions, a la Reddit Enhancement Suite

Distribution for an alternate client is a hard problem no one’s cracked yet, but maybe customization within Warpcast would be easier to bootstrap

Hard to do extensions on mobile though (where most activity is)

i think a *close follows* client with *channel muting* could do numbers

i would be happy to collaborate with anyone on this

start by forking litecast and then build out the rest of the user experience
