I do use SMS 2FA for some services but usually have an email or Auth option as well

Having receive ability on your primary line will make things a lot easier, mostly cause you’ll realize a lot of things need SMS 2FA.

Family visiting me here in Toronto have great things to say about Airalo. Easy enough to grab a small amount of data and use WhatsApp, etc. for voice and messaging.

can be handy to call places for reservations etc
