I've never used Figma. Am I missing out? We're a team of 3 @paragraph and don't yet have any robust design system; but Tailwind and our internal reusable components have let us go far and ship quickly.

Figma is great if you are collaborating with designers or need to explore complex ideas + flows visually before diving into code Every design system is architecturally unique. Sounds like you already have one in place, even if rudimentary If your current methods are letting you ship fast I'd say you're in a good spot
