I am a half decent content creator, but I think one of the worst things these sites did was force everyone to become one, too I saw a doctor post on X about the process a patient went through to get cancer medication her insurer tried really hard to deny. One of the steps was social media shaming the insurer. I was so taken aback by that. What if you don’t have an audience, aren’t worth listening to? Aren’t a “creator”? I tried to make this point and the doctor replied to me “you can ask your doctor to help with the social media shaming” and I wanted to throw myself off a cliff. Bleak. Conspiring with your oncologist for likes and shares to get medicine. Anyway, yeah, I wish they didn’t exist either.

Gen Z dumping on X makes sense but TikTok actually surprises me. Guess the supporters/userbase of TikTok isn't as prominent amongst youth as I originally assumed.
