We are entering post-truth/we are already there. Last little exchange is indicative of this

Truth is just what you want it to be from here on out

Maybe an advantage for those who can see reality clearly

To me post-truth is good because it forces me not to care about anything beyond my immediate locus of control. Why do I care about the “truth” beyond what I see with my eyes. I have no agency over any of this stuff anyways.

i think its not all or nothing - sometimes you could put yourself in a position where you have agency, sometimes its unrealistic

think its important to keep an open mind not to use this as an excuse / a default mode all the time
