Looking for feedback on this iteration for channels The single biggest remaining complaint is people feeling like the pre-existing, large, topic based channels like /food or /founders should be more accesible. It will also reduce work for channel mods who don't want to have to approve every single person who wants to cast in their channel, but are OK giving up some control of who (and they can always invite someone to be a member to guarantee it). Some people did not know you can gift Warpcast Accounts. One of my favorite things to do! On desktop in the sidebar Choose Invite and then select the purple link that says "Want to gift instead". This allows you to pay the fee in warps and then gift an account to someone.

When I joined Farcaster, I was neither an employee of Merkle nor did I know Dan or Varun. Varun finally got me to onboard after multiple attempts, conversations lead to what I could do for the project, and I became a part of the team. I may not always agree with every decision, but I can definitely confirm firsthand there is no "help Merkle's friends" bias, and for those who know why I quit CB, they'd know just as well I wouldn't stick around at Merkle if that were the case.

"Why do you spend time arguing with X, Y or Z on Farcaster?" I try to avoid most of it! However, the nature of the network is to propagate memes. Positive or negative. And if too many negative memes propagate without a response, they will metastasize. Other people will start feeling worse (because of the unchecked negativity) and it will subconsciously make them want to use the app less. And to be clear: we aren't always right, we make mistakes, we change our minds (strong opinions loosely held) and can sometimes come across as aggressive or curt (mostly me). But we always try to reset and figure out how to make progress week over week.
