the goal for /amp is to build the fastest-loading farcaster client inspired by Hacker News, I'm trying achieve this through SSG of all feed pages. In the spirit of building in public, here's the current architecture powering this - resulting in load times of 0.5-1 second.

I love this initiative of building in public. Question: Is there any tradeoff for most of the projects to work with @neynar toolkit? Maybe slowness or centralisation? I don’t know, just thinking aloud 🤔 Btw, happy to become a beta tester @nt 🙌

neynar don’t have any authority over the data they host, so I’m not concerned

Thanks for your reply @nt . Yep, I meant the code itself, the API, not the data. Could become a bottleneck for all the projects consuming those services?

I understand. It’s the same as RPC services like alchemy - they’re interchangeable and don’t have a data moat because they don’t have authority over the data they serve. hence centralisation isn’t much of a concern.
