the goal for /amp is to build the fastest-loading farcaster client inspired by Hacker News, I'm trying achieve this through SSG of all feed pages. In the spirit of building in public, here's the current architecture powering this - resulting in load times of 0.5-1 second.

are you revalidating ssg every n seconds or just doing a trending (non real time) feed? 0.5s still feels slow, can you make this faster?

i like this initiative but im going to point out that centralized, non open source infra being a crucial part of this means you are at their mercy, in good or bad. also why write json to db? surely theres a more efficient way to store/parse channel feeds?

You can query channel feed directly from Neynar api, what’s the replicator db used for? If you don’t apply algorithm rank, even feed db can be removed.

I love this initiative of building in public. Question: Is there any tradeoff for most of the projects to work with @neynar toolkit? Maybe slowness or centralisation? I don’t know, just thinking aloud 🤔 Btw, happy to become a beta tester @nt 🙌
