I mentioned this in another cast but this article on why wearables aren't the best when it comes to metrics for weight loss was so eye opening for me you really just need calories in and weight over time. i do think that having a wearable to track your fitness activities is nice so i wear a coros but the "calories" from it don't really mean much https://macrofactorapp.com/wearables/

+1. Food scale and a regular scale, definitely the way to go for now I’m optimistic about wearables but they’ve still got a ton of shortcomings

Yeah I just use a scale and type in the calories I ate in apple notes No need to spend money on a watch xd
