Our company, 100% remote, decided to shift from Slack to Discord for communication/collaboration

Any particular reason(s) why?

purely subjective tbh. i used slack when i worked at Twitter and found it tedious to navigate. the last four years i've been using discord almost exclusively. even setting up my own servers. and i find it less tedious to navigate.

level of customization definitely seems much higher on discord

almost feels like linux vs mac 😆

Also, its free! And does not nag with removing access to older messages
