suddenly getting pigeons hanging out on our balcony on the regular... we don't store any food there, just have some potted plants, and this wasn't a problem until recently any ideas why? and best practices or setups to repel?

Our apartment has some fishing line tied outside above the rails that seems to work really well

I have no idea, perhaps it's hard to land on? The landlord went through a variety of tests before this one turned out to work better than expected. he strung it taught from one side of all the way to the other about 10cm above the rail
