Hmm.
I have two main issues with this. Meritocracy can only be really achieved with a fully transparent processs. A true level playing field. Seems doubtful.
Secondly: presenting yourself as an alternative to indoctrination often simply means you want to indoctrinate people with the opposite opinion.

Oh, yes, my statement was supposed to be neutral. It goes any way. 
As you can probably imagine, I have a slightly different image of what a corporation should be, but image washing is indeed not part of it.
