gps sports watches, specifically for running (not yet sure for other activities yet) - tracks times - accurately tracks routes & distances - good apps/UXs that automate performance reviews & analyses i was fine with "just a sports watch with a timer" for decades, only until this recent generation of smart watches

It’s hard wearing and a bit more “whatchy” than say an Apple Watch. A lot of fitness focused people I follow though still swear by the Apple Watch. What about you?

was using a timex ironman c30 up until last year, and now i'm using a garmin forerunner 245 i'm fine with just a timer, but knowing the route & distance i ran is like icing on the cake; only thing i'd want more now is improved battery life (with the timex, i think i changed the battery 1 in 6 years 😆)

For sure that’s so much better to be able to see where you ran! Exactly charging adds a big extra step that’s why I like the solar power on the Casio
