bought a tv yesterday, hadn't owned one since 2007 i've got mixed feelings, but the wife thought it's better for the kids who'd been watching stuff on an ipad when we let them admittedly the kids were super excited, which reminded me how fun tv can be for kids what do you think, /parenting? good to have? a mistake?

Overall, I've found it to be useful in these areas. 1. Scarcity teaches cooperation. By having 1x TV, the family has to learn how to agree on which shows to watch and when. 2. A family TV can bring back the original meaning of social. 3. Easier to monitor content.
